The Warrior Within - Student

Big Idea — God saw something in Gideon that Gideon didn’t see in himself and used him to bring victory to the Israelite people. In this series, we’ll examine how God unlocked Gideon’s purpose and found the warrior within as well as how God wants to transform us into warriors in our spiritual battles today.

• Week 1 — The Warrior’s Summons
Gideon was called to step out from behind the winepress and step into the calling of a mighty warrior. In this lesson, we’ll discuss setting aside our fear to embrace Jesus’ purpose for our lives.

• Week 2 — Fleeced!
Gideon asked God for confirmation that he was indeed called to lead Israel to victory. God provided the requested sign and whittled Gideon’s army down to 300, requiring Gideon to exercise his faith. In this lesson, we’ll examine how to walk by faith and not by sight.

• Week 3 — Experiencing Miraculous Victory
God confirmed to Gideon one final time that He was with him. Gideon’s army headed out to fight with just lanterns and jars, and God worked a miracle. In this lesson, we’ll explore the power of obedience, as we learn to follow the Spirit’s direction to achieve total victory in our lives.

• Week 4 — Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior
The battle against the Midianites may have been won, but Gideon recognized there was still work to do. He immediately set out to find the kings of Median and defeat them as well. In this lesson, we’ll talk about the value of remaining focused in our walk with Jesus, even after we have experienced great victory.
