Unfathomable - Student
Big Idea — Jesus, who committed no sin, assumed the penalty of our sin so we could be restored to relationship with Him—a depth of love that defies our human sense of reasonable limits. In this series, we’ll examine this unfathomable love of our Savior.
• Week 1 — Unreasonable Service
At the Last Supper, Jesus had one final opportunity to communicate with His disciples. Silently He delivered a clear message to these soon-to-be apostles: He wrapped Himself in a towel and washed their feet. This lesson examines Jesus’ embrace of servanthood.
• Week 2 — Unfathomable Submission
With the hour of His betrayal drawing near, Jesus made His way to Gethsemane. He surrendered His life on Golgotha, but He surrendered His will at Gethsemane. This lesson explores how Jesus embraced submission and how we are called to do the same.
• Week 3 — Unfathomable Sacrifice
Jesus had the ability to call a legion of angels, but Instead He didn’t. He chose the cross. The Creator gave Himself for His creation, and He has called upon us to take up our cross too. In this lesson, we’ll explore Jesus’ call to sacrifice.
• Week 4 — Unfathomable Salvation
Because Jesus came out of the grave, we have an opportunity to escape eternal death. This lesson explores Jesus’ call to salvation—a call we must not only heed, but share with others.
